CDT celebrates milestone – 70th PhD graduate!

In July 2020, Richard Ramchurn (2015 cohort) became the 70th PhD student at the Horizon CDT to successfully defend his thesis entitled Brain-Controlled Cinematic Interactions.

Since finishing his PhD Studies, Richard has been developing live score performances for The MOMENT Live Online Tour with musicians who will be playing live from their homes in Iceland and the UK.

Richard has collaborated with University of Nottingham researchers on two films exploring AI use cases and robotics in manufacturing. He has also been invited to guest lecture in the UK and Hong Kong and appear on the panel of the Live Cinema Conference III to discuss his brain-controlled films, PhD research and how the COVID pandemic has changed how he works.

Many congratulations to Richard!
