🎉 Congratulations to Dr Nasser Alkhulaifi! 🎉

Many congratulations to Nasser Alkhulaifi (2021 cohort), who successfully passed his viva last week subject to minor corrections, becoming the first in his cohort to defend his thesis!

Supervised by Prof Isaac Triguero, Prof Nicholas J. Watson, Dr Alexander L. Bowler, Dr Direnc Pekaslan and Prof Dario Landa Silva, Nasser’s thesis is entitled: Automated Feature Engineering, AutoML, and Decision-Focused Learning for Improved Energy Consumption Forecasting.

We are immensely proud of his achievement and look forward to his colleagues following suit as the cohort progresses through their final milestones.
