Over the years, researchers at the University of Nottingham have collaborated with partners from the creative industries on numerous Artcodes projects. Led by Creative Technologist and Design Researcher Emily Thorn, the initiative comprised over 30 individual projects and events, each exploring the diverse applications of the technology.
Emily has since published an Artcodes Portfolio as part of her PhD, consolidating more than a decade of creative practice. The portfolio highlights how the technology was initially developed as an experimental research tool and evolved into a versatile medium used across cultural, community, and public settings.
