Horizon was dedicated to researching, promoting and championing the potential of ubiquitous digital technology, looking at the challenges of providing a new generation of personally meaningful experiences that used the traces left behind when interacting with mobile, internet and other digital technologies. Core to Horizon’s vision was the idea that future products would be hybrids of both the digital and the physical.
Applying a user-centred approach, Horizon worked in collaboration with leading academic, commercial, public and third sector partners across a broad spectrum of subjects. This was done in a manner that respected personal privacy and enriched, rather than replaced the range of social interactions carried out at work and at home, to deliver exciting impact to shape the digital economy of the future.
