Digital Futures 2012

Digital Futures 2012

Following the success of the first two Digital Economy ‘All Hands’ events (Digital Futures 2010 and Digital Engagement 2011) we are pleased to announce the third annual meeting of the Digital Economy community.

The RCUK Digital Economy Theme seeks to transform the lives of people, communities and businesses through the design and deployment of innovative information and communication technologies. The Digital Economy All Hands conference is a multidisciplinary environment in which innovative thinkers and researchers are able to share ideas about how to make an impact on society across a range of sectors including transport, healthcare, financial services, and the creative industries.

Digital Futures 2012 will feature keynote presentations, formal paper sessions including papers from doctoral students, posters, and technology demonstrations. For the first time there will also be a dedicated exhibition space, showcasing the work of the Digital Economy community. This year the conference has a particular focus on Disruptive Innovation. In other words, how technology and its changing application is transforming society.
