We are delighted to share the exciting news that Horizon CDT alum Dr Harriet ‘Alfie’ Cameron (2018 cohort) has been appointed as Transitional Assistant Professor in Responsible Artificial Intelligence within the School of Computer Science at the University of Nottingham.
This prestigious role is part of the national Responsible AI UK (RAI UK) programme, which supports cutting-edge research and innovation aimed at ensuring artificial intelligence technologies are developed and deployed responsibly. As part of the programme, Alfie will spend the first three years focusing primarily on research before transitioning to a full academic role as Assistant Professor.
Alfie’s appointment supports multidisciplinary research in collaboration with RAI UK, Responsible Digital Futures, the Mixed Reality Lab, and the Cobot Maker Space.
Alfie will also collaborate with world-leading interdisciplinary research groups such as Horizon Digital Economy Research, and benefit from access to the Cobot Maker Space, home to an array of advanced robotic platforms.
