We’re thrilled to announce that Ephraim Luwemba from our 11th cohort has passed his viva, subject to minor corrections — a fantastic way to wrap up the week!
Ephraim’s thesis, “Testing for Transparency: Designing Privacy-Informing Systems for Young People,” explores how digital systems can be designed to better inform young people about their privacy, blending insights from technology, transparency and user experience.
Ephraim was supervised by CDT alumna Liz Dowthwaite and Dr Elvira Perez Vallejos. A special shoutout to Liz — Ephraim is the first student she has supervised to completion, making this a proud milestone for them both.
Congratulations, Dr Luwemba! We can’t wait to see what’s next.
