WiseParks II

WiseParks II is an extension of previous work which developed methods for counting the users of parks and green spaces using signals emitted from ‘smart’ devices. This information has been provided to Nottingham City Council (NCC) to support funding proposals for park improvements, evidence value from previous improvement works and plan park maintenance. During  WiseParks II we will be equipping more parks with counting sensors, developing pathways to make the data more accessible to parks staff and preparing to open the data for public access.  The project supports NCC as part of their 20 year strategic plan for parks and open spaces in Nottingham City.
