Performing the Future Workshop, 2nd October 2017

Oracles, Predictions, Positive Futures and Actions

Monday 2nd October, 1-4pm at the Mixed Reality Lab, Computer Science, Jubilee Campus, University of Nottingham

Exploring the predictions and promises captured by the artist Rachel Jacobs as part of her recent artworks, alongside a presentation by Esther Eidinow (Professor of Ancient History, Bristol University) introducing her research into Fate, Luck and Fortune and the Oracle. The session will include experiments in creating ways to predict, imagine and perform the future as it unfolds.

Register to attend this workshop, which will be of interest to an interdisciplinary group working with future thinking, engaging the public with climate and environmental change, slow and long term data sets, participatory sensing and art/science/HCI collaborations.
